I decided to not have an anonymous blog, and put a face to all the postings. So here goes.

Here is a little more background. I'm 29 years old and live in an apartment in Orange County, CA with my fiance. We plan on getting married in June 2007.

I graduated college in 1999 and took about a year and a half off before I started working for a mid-size CPA firm. I am a licensed CPA but I don't know a lot about taxes. I am primarily an Auditor. My title is Audit Manager.

I have always been very interested in personal finance, investing, and anything else that has to do with numbers. Contrary to popular belief, most CPA's don't know a lot about personal finance issues. It most definitely is NOT a required subject or testing item in order to obtain a CPA license.

I absolutely love baseball and am a lifelong Los Angeles Dodgers fan. I love to laugh and will definitely watch any sort of comedy movie. All time favorites include: Old School, The Naked Gun, Caddyshack (you get the idea). I am almost always up for a good night of drinking with friends. Call it a weakness, but I call it fun. I love to travel and love to eat at new restaurants.

I would classify myself as more of a "spender" but as I've gotten older, I have moved more into the "saver" mode and now that I'm engaged I am trying to be much more responsible. The net worth numbers you see on my blog are a combined net worth with my fiance. Although I have always been interested in personal finance, I still have a lot to learn especially as we enter new stages of life.

We are still in the process of coming up with serious goals, but for the most part, until June 2007 we are saving up for a wedding.
